The press release from the office of the Permanent Secretary (PS) Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) stated that it has come to the knowledge of the Ministry that certain unscrupulous individuals are circulating wrong informing that schools are to re-open on Monday 8th June, 2020 as contrary to the Government’s Spoken person Press Release on the relaxation of State of Emergency Restrictions that, the date for the re-opening of schools would be announced later by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
According to the release, the Ministry takes this matter very seriously and therefore wishes to warn all those that are engaged in peddling such wrong information to the public to desist from it as there is no date yet fixed for schools re-opening.
“The Ministry is hereby urging the public to ignore such information circulating in the social media and wait for the official announcement of the exact date for the re-opening of schools in general and any examination class in particular which will be circulated to the various mediums in the country,” the release conclude.
