NAM condemns Police brutality in US

Sulayman Saho, National Assembly Member for Baddibu Central has condemned the brutality of police in the United States of America after the death of George Floyd and Modou Lamin Sise.
Both black men were reportedly killed by Police in the US.

“I stand high among all humanist, Africans or lovers of peace to condemn the incident where a young African had been brutalized by policeman and a Gambian who died in a shootout in United States of America,” he said.

“We must come together to condemn the act and revenge the death of a young African. Where are the human right institutions? The life that is taken can never be regained, we cannot continue to live in such a state of sadness. We can’t fold our hands and feet together whiles unscrupulous white officers are brutally killings Africans, we were dehumanized into slavery denied our fundamental rights. We were miss educated only to promote white supremacy,” he added.

According to him, USA was known for its racism and hatred against black race and minority groups the following people stood and fought for such atrocities but it seems that the same heinous crime is repeated, adding “police brutality is more dangerous than Covid 19.”

He said Americans want to continue oppressing black people for no reasons. He added that Luther. King Jr. spoke against discrimination and injustices against blacks same as Malcolm X. Booker T Washington fought for the same course tackles Marcus Garvey W.E.B Dubois.

“Blacks were tortured and beaten to death all African presidents must stand up and condemn this barbaric act. Africans are human beings that deserve to be treated with dignity and honour.”
