One of the most fearsome criminals Gambian-based Guinean man, who is serving jail terms for criminal acts – breaking and entering within Kanifing Municipality, has confessed to lying against Police commissioner Ensa Jesus Badjie.

Soriba Conde, told TRRC he was forced with threats to lie against Mr Badjie in a Court of law, saying if he had failed to lie against him he wouldn’t have being alive by now.

It was disclosed that he is having 9 months left to complete his jail terms at Mile II.
“Even when I was in Janjagbureh, I sent one officer – Bojang to him, tell him – Jesus, to forgive me because what I have done against him, I regretted it. That’s why for me to come here and lie is not to my own benefits because if I was coming here to lie, I wouldn’t have come to testify by holding the Qur’an,” he said.

He added: “They knew that the allegations they were levelling against this guy was not true, even myself and Landing Tombong we went to the IGP’s office and he said this is not true. But when Jesus became an IGP and had a problem with them they come and took me to the prosecutors and asked what do you know about this? Even the first prosecutor was sacked.”

“The prosecutors there even know it is not true because they were the ones teaching me what I should say,” he disclosed.

He added that “I am seeking forgiveness from Jesus Badjie to forgive me. I am ready for a change that’s why I came here to testify.”
