Network of Financial and Tax Reporters [NFTR] has handed over a hundred copies of ‘Naamo’s’ second edition magazine to Gambia Revenue Authority.
The copies were received by GRA Commissioner General Yankuba Darboe.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Abdoulie Nyockeh, president of the network said: “this is the 2nd edition and it coveres some of the major development activities undertaken by the Gambia Revenue Authority from 2018 till date under the visionary leadership of the Commissioner General, Yankuba Darboe.”
Mr. Nyockeh also a senior reporter at the Point newspaper, reiterated that the magazine focuses on issues that are relevant to the transformation of the Authority, especially collection of taxes. He added that the magazine also highlights some of the achievement that the authority registered over the years under the dynamic leadership of the Commissioner General in terms of revenue mobilization, capacity building for it staff and other forms of motivation.
He commended the management of the Gambia Revenue Authority for opening their doors and for the partnership in ensuring that the magazine was well documented.
The ‘Naamo’ was produced by members of the NFTR Gambia chapter in partnership with the GRA. In this edition, it captured very exciting and interesting success stories of the Gambia Revenue Authority and other diverse areas which all geared toward improving voluntary tax compliance through education.
