The Gambia-Cuba Friendship Association reaffirmed today its support for the Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to the Medical Brigades of the largest Antilles that combat Covid-19 in the world.
That solidarity organization of this West African nation made its support official on the website: Nobel Peace Prize For Cuban Doctors (https://www.cubanobel.org/nobelcuba), in which signatures are collected as part of an intense International campaign with the purpose of granting the famous laurel to the doctors and health personnel of the Caribbean island.
In a message attached to its heading on the aforementioned website, the Gambian Friendship Association recognizes the struggle that the Cuban Medical Brigades have won and they are still fighting against the pandemic that is currently plaguing humanity.
The text underscores that health workers on the Caribbean island have been leaders in the fight against Covid-19, and have done so as always, in solidarity and humanitarian fashion.
Previously, the same organization sent a note to the Cuban Embassy in Banjul, in which it highlighted that health collaborators from the largest of the Antilles deserve the Nobel Peace Prize because they have healed and saved many lives for decades in Africa. and other regions of the world, and continue to do so now in the battle against the pandemic.
