At least Twenty-Seven Thousand pupils of grade 9 are currently writing their final year examinations popularly known as Gambia Basic Education Certificate Examination (GABECE).
This important examination is the gateway for the successful students to proceed to the senior school level in the next academic year.
The pupils were among thousands of students, whom were out of physical lessons for months due to the emerged of the coronavirus in the country in March, 2020.
But the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education introduced an electronic lesson as part of homeschooling that allowed all categories of pupils to take their lessons through radio and television stations across the country.
