Meet the youngest Gambian female film producer and Chief Executive Officer at Maya’s productions Film . She the youngest Gambian female film producer. Mariama Suwareh lives in New York where she attained New York Film Academy.

Mariama Suwareh is a young Gambian Lady who is committed to the development of young people; and with a patriotic goal of preaching the amazing culture of the Gambia to the world through movies and other cinematic mediums. She was born and raised in the Gambia.

Mariama has been inspired by diverse individuals who have told great stories that have reflected various ideologies and have impacted some lives across the globe. Movies have the power to communicate immense value. It has the power to unite and the power to divide, it has the power to make and the power to unmake.

Mariam intends to ride on all the positive things that can be derived from movie making. She has been particularly passionate about ensuring that movies can be used to educate as well as provide a platform for young people to also exhibit their interest or talents. She runs a film production organization known as Maya Film Production (MFP).
