The Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) is calling on victims who were detained at the National Intelligence Agency now State Intelligence Services under the cutthroat 22-year rule of former president Yahya Jammeh.

The Commission call on the group comes as it opened investigations surrounding alleged human rights abuses and violations committed by the Institution.

According to the Commission despite suspension of public hearings its secretariat will continue to receive complaints and statements from victims, and witnesses of human rights violations.

“The commission has also opened investigations on the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and therefore calls on individuals who were detained at the NIA between 1994 and 2017 and have their rights violated, to contact the TRRC personally at its headquarters” or call the commission’s office on telephone.
