More supports to fight the spread of coronavirus continued to pour in for the Banjul City Council as TIKA recently emerged to hand over 2000 face masks to the city council as part of its efforts in the fight against the virus.
Banjul City Council has since the upsurge of the coronavirus in the country launched ‘operation 100K facemasks initiative’ for the people of the city.
“Today, Banjul City Council under the leadership of Her Worship, Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe received 2000 facemasks from TIKA_Banjul as part of their efforts to compliment the City Council in the fight against COVID-19,” the council happily said.
In a similar but different development, Brending- Village Development Committee in North Bank Region, also donated 500 facemasks to the city council.
Meanwhile, the BCC thanked all the donors for “their timely support and we believe together we can suppress the spread of COVID-19.”
