Minister Badjie bids farewell to ex-youth & sports

 

Former Sports and Youth Minister has officially handed ministerial position to his replaced man in ceremony seen many dozens of people as smooth and cordial.

Hadrammeh Sidibeh was among President Adama Barrow’s last week cabinet reshuffle which showed Mr Sidibeh and fellow Ministers removed from their ministerial position and promised to be deployed to foreign services.

Bakary Badjie – appointment to replace Sidibeh attracted much praise among Gambians at both home and abroad. His appointment has been welcomed among the youth of the country as “long overdue.” He has emerged as first Gambian young Minister for Youth and Sports.

The Ebo Town born Mr Badjie who has been residing in the United States of America contested in last Mayoral Election in Kanifing Municipality but got defeated by Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda.

On Tuesday, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Ministry bade farewell to Mr Sidibeh and in the same vein welcomed the new Minister Bakary Badjie.
