A 16-year-old girl has died of coronavirus, but her result was however known during a posthumously, the Ministry of Health has confirmed.
Four new cases were however recorded, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 3,636.
At least 118 people died of the virus since the virus hits the country in March, forcing tens of hundreds of thousands of people jobless and closed down hundreds of businesses.
“The deceased is a 16-year-old female whose sample was collected posthumously 4 new cases registered, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 3,636.
This represents a 1.1% test positivity rate (4 out of 351 total tests performed). The median age of the new cases is 29 years (range: 21 to 40 years) 351 new laboratory test results received from NPHL 2 new tests returned indeterminant / inconclusive 50 new COVID-19 patients recovered and got discharged,” the Ministry of Health disclosed.
