A delegation of Gambian health authorities who travelled to Senegal has returned after four-day official mission. The team mission to Senegal was to understudy the Senegalese IMS.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has announced: “No new Covid-19 related death recorded. The only posthumous sample collected returned negative for COVID-19.
Also, no new COVID-19 case recorded, 86 new laboratory test results received from NPHL. And no new test returned indeterminant/inconclusive. No COVID-19 patients recovered and got discharged.”
“The country currently has 0 person in quarantine, 882 active cases and a crude case-fatality ratio of 3.2%,” it added.
However, in the report which is the 173rd national situation report since the confirmation of the first case of the novel coronavirus disease in The Gambia on 16th March, 2020 disclosed that “Banjul recorded more cases than any other location within WR1.”
According to the report’s table 1 Banjul recorded 205 cases followed by Brikama with 121 and Bakau 78 cases respectively.
