The leader of All People’s Party (APP) has said one thing that makes them different from other political parties in the country is ‘tolerance’ which he said is the foundation pillar of his party.
Speaking to The Voice in an exclusive interview, Gumbo Ali Touray said: “We have a collective leadership which makes them unique, Multi ethnic, Multi Religious and plural democracy which is the foundation of the party.
He insisted that APP was not formed to effect political change in the country but that the party seeks to cement unity in the country.
“And in order to do that, we have to become part of a political party. We form All People’s Party to see a progressive Gambia that every citizen will benefit from development,” he said.
He however lashed out at other political parties in the country that they lack strategic management in their leadership.
“Politics is an arena where different players come in but these players have different ideas and they have meaningful ideas with competence knowledge to bring political changes.”
He said the population will hear them and they will get to know that All People’s Party are propagating sound ideas with trustworthiness to change the mindset of the people.
“I want the Government to know that politicians are serving the country we believe in truth and justice, we should try and stop tribal politics,” he said.
