Kandeh accuses Bah, Barrow of dividing the country

By Binta Jaiteh

Mamma Kandeh, leader of Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) has hit out at Honorable Hamat Bah and President Adama Barrow accusing them of dividing the nation on political line.

Mr Kandeh was speaking to hundreds of people two days before the much-anticipated Niamina west by-election which will show GDC and NPP square off.

He told the rally not to allow the presidency delegation fool them, citing the cash disbursement to the public to have changed nothing.

“We should not allow Barrow’s delegations to fool us, since the time he allocated D3000 to every Gambian nothing has been done on that issue,” he said.

He added: “Thousands of people are graduating without an employment and the employed are limited in number, salary also is becoming another challenge which needs to be address. He said Gambians should try by all means not to vote for President Barrow because he is not fulfilling his promises, “he said.

He continued: “ECOWAS delegations are not doing anything in the country, their time to stay has elapsed since but he requested for them to stay. Our resources cannot be used like that without our consent. Is high time that Gambians wake up in order for the ECOWAS troops to leave when there is problem, they can come to our aid, the reason why the ECOWAS are behaving (in their own way) is due to Barrow’s influence.”

According to him, all party leaders admire him because he recognizes the best interest of the nation and tribal sovereignty of the citizens.

“I dislike using fowl languages not like Hamat Bah and his boss whom are trying to bring tribalism in the country for the sake of politics,” he said.
