National Assembly member for Lower Saloum has called for wise implementation of national development plan as 2021 budget estimate is hit by a deficit of 6 billion dalasi.
Conversely, the committee was able to deduct from various institutions as follows: D36 million deducted from the office of the president, D267million deducted from independent electoral commission, D80 million from the judiciary, D80 million from the national audit office, D47, 825,000 from the ministry of finance and D510, 000,000 also deducted from the centralized services, which has amount to over D9, 000,000.
speaking during the debate of both the budget estimate and the report of the Finance Public Account Committee (F/PAC), Sainey Jawarah said “the estimate budget there is deficit of D6billion though we were advocating for increment on road projects but to be frank the deficit size is increasing up which we don’t want it to be a boring to the minister of finance.”
According to him, his calculation of budget allocated to three ministries has amount to 10billion dalasi which is at high rate.
“We are yearning for development and each parliamentarian here wants to see your consequence roads build. We are here to save guard this country let’s put positive calculations whereby we will cross check those ministries that have high allocation, and then we cut them and bring it to development because this country needs to develop,” he said.
