One Ebrima Cham has made a fresh appeal to President Adama Barrow to sack the Chief of Nianija, Dawda York, for his involvement in an alleged bribery scandal.

”The Chief should be removed until his legal battle is exhausted until this happens, people of Njaniji will not trust him because he cannot be trusted,” he said.

Chief York is yet to respond to the allegation of corruption.

In his words of appeal he said “Mr President your meeting with all seriousness has not so far covered challenges and constraints of the people of Nianija because the people given the opportunity to speak in your meeting have not managed to outline the constraints. Your tour has been diverted from the people’s tour to an individual tour.”

“The issue of deplorable condition of Upper Saloum Health Center and the lack of access road to the women’s rice field should have dominated the discussion of the president meeting in Nianiji.”

However, he said: “I want to ask President Barrow why he brought Seedy Njie very close to himself. Someone who nearly plunge this country into civil war at the same time said (President) Adama Barrow will never sit at the State House. Seedy Njie should have been the last person the president should consider among his close people.”

He said Seedy should not be trusted, adding that he was part of the former government and his re action towards the Barrow government in the start was not pleasant, and recent changed with no genuine reasons.
