Igbo community in Gambia gets new executives

The Igbo Community Association of Nigeria in The Gambia, Sunday, 20th December, 2020 elected new executive members into office to steer the affairs of the association.

The congress held at the St Charles Hall, Fajikunda was well attended by Igbos living in The Gambia and others communities from Nigeria who served as observers.

The conduct of the election was led by Vitalis Uzoukwu AKA Word Bank, while the new elected officers were sworn-in by Pastors Obed Ileagu, Sunday Onuowe and Chukwuebuka Okolie.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected president for the association, Apostle Chukwuemeka Nanle Ogbonna thanked the outgoing interim executive members for job well done during their tenure as interim executive members in the office.

He as well extended his appreciation to all members of the Igbo Community Association for their supports and urged them to continue giving support to the new executive members like they did to their predecessor.

Apostle Ogbonna, encouraged his fellow new elected officers to put in their best to raise the name of the community in the country.

The other newly elected executive members which include Messrs Chinedu Okpeoha as vice president, Williams Ndefor Michael – Secretary General, Collins C NNabuo – Financial Secretary, Alvadean Anyanwu – Treasurer, Honorable Chukudi Nwankpa as PRO 1, Emeka Obi David PRO 2, Messrs Okechukwu Umunna and Ikechukwu Omelihu as DOS 1 and 2 respectively and also Mr James C Aronu – Provost 1 all pledge to give their best in service of the Igbo Community in The Gambia.
