Schools have closed for the Christmas until 4th January 2020. They were closed in March after the nation’s registered its first coronavirus case, to help curb the spread of the infectious virus.
But schools resumed operation months later with stringent measures to follow recommendations of the World Health Organisation and Ministry of Health. Some schools were still operating partially as students are allowed to classrooms three times in a week.
Preparations are high ahead of this year’s charismas celebration. The country still recording few numbers of coronavirus – as concerts and shows are advertising on radios, televisions, circulating of flyers and on scattered billboards around the country – despite the neighbouring Senegal is hard-hit by second wave of the Covid-19, which has prompted President Macky Sall government to imposed national lockdown.
