Police have charged a shopkeeper, who is believed to be a national of Guinea Conakry, with murder following the dead of a businesswoman in Tanji. This comes after angry residents took to the street burning tyres and pelting stones to vent their anger against the death of the woman.
The unknown woman, known to the shopkeeper, went missing on Sunday after she went to collect her cash from the shopkeeper.

He added: “She used to entrust her money with the shopkeeper from time to time and the shopkeeper sold the shop and he wanted to run away to Guinea Conakry. She went to request for her money before the shopkeeper flee to Guinea but eventually that was the cause of her problem with the shopkeeper.”
