 ‘Politics of deception must end’- Jabbie

Mustapha Jabbie, a concern citizen has expressed that ‘politics of deception must end.’ Saying Brufut has been neglected in development for over 50 years.

“Politics of deception must end for the past 50 years, since the era of the former Presidents Jawara and Jammeh, now President Barrow the people of Brufut have been neglected,” he told The Voice.

“We have been failed and least considered in the area of development and the community is crying out for development but to no avail,” he added.

According to him, people of Brufut suffered during rainy season, commercial driver abandoned plighting route due to bad condition of the roads.

“This has affected the people socially, economically which includes movement of Petty traders, market vendors in terms of transporting their goods to markets in and out of Brufut,” he noted.

This, he said, makes residents of Brufut wonder and asked if Brufut is even part of The Gambia due to inadequate infrastructural development.

He therefore called on Government attention to know that the community lacks good road network, Market, a standard Football Field, just to mention few.

Mustapha Jabbie again called on government t to consider the people of Brufut and bring an end to politics of deception.
