The Commissioner General of GRA Mr. Yankuba Darboe had assured his staff better working condition but they must double their efforts to continue to live up to expectation in term of good service delivery.
GRA Boss made this assurance during the Board and top Management of GRA field visit to various outlets and branches of GRA within the Greater Banjul Area (GBA).
The delegation that comprises members of the Board was led by chairperson of GRA board, Madam Lucy Faye Jagne.
The visit was meant to meet the GRA staff at their various stations to have interactive meeting with them on their constraints and challenges that are hindering their works and as well develop solution address them as soon as possible.
According to the Commissioner General his staff welfare is his top agenda to enhance effective good service delivery. Mr Darboe was quick to commend his staff for their team work, corporation and love for the Job.
He said over the years GRA had been meeting its set revenue target by the government and all this is due to their commitment and dedication.
He dilated on the unprecedented performance that GRA registered over the years including 2020 despite the negative impact of the coronavirus. He said GRA was able to exceed its set revenue Target in 2020.
Mr. Darboe further spoke extensively on the need for respect of Authority, and their work, in term of punctuality and code of conduct.
The commissioner general as well advised the managers to respect and treat junior staff equally and monitors their working hours at the office, while assuring the staff that management of GRA will do it can to ensure that their staffs works under a conducive environment.
For her part the GRA Board Chairperson, Madam Lucy Faye Jagne commended GRA staff for their steadfast in ensuring that GRA registered unprecedented performance. She harped on important of their collective efforts and team work.
She emphasised that there is need for them to work together and have high regard for the job.
