The 2nd Edition of Genuine Concert will attract lots of Gambian artistes onstage on 27th February, 2021 at Willy’s Night Club in Lamin.
It will featured headlines artistes includes Hussain Dada, Chronik Bob, Ydee, Iken (Sateh Chabo), Black Thunder, Mad Dot, Bangerz Empire.
Upcoming artiste includes: Majall, Styl up, Super Stars, Hood Princee, Bassman, Gust, Da Legends, Jenglizz95, Stakula, Daranka Boyol and Arrizey official.
Genuine Concert is an annually live concert usually attracts lots of Gambian artistes entertainment platform established and dubbed by Gambian promoter Don Uche D Genuine in last year February 2020 and the same year he did the first edition of the event that took place at Lamin Willys Night Club, which was a massive success.
Uche is been promoting young Gambian musicians from the grassroots who has no or little exposure and always face difficulties to get on bigger gigs to showcase their talents, that motivated him to come up with this concept of creating a broadways where these young stars can shine on due time.
According to him this was the reason why Genuine Concert came into existence and him and his team are really proud how far this platform has gone within this short period of time.
“Unlike many platforms or many promoters we have one goal and we one objective that is to create platforms where Gambian musicians can easy illuminate without struggling for long,”
“We are really changing contrary to the previous years but yet still young stars face difficulties to display their craft because the concentration of many promoters are just on few bigger artist and that is crippling the young upcoming musicians. Our goal is to change that narrative and allow all the artist to have equal opportunity to shine,”
He added: “We are fully aware about the business prospect of music but we never allow to be distracted from our gold and objectives even if it will cost us at a huge lost, what is important to us is to give them light shine”
He further explained: “For the past years all we do is put young stars to headline the event and we give it hype and energy in the street. Our focus is different, we always bring fresh energy”
