The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Monday converged at the KMC Hall in Buffer Zone to sensitise people on Comprehensive Health Education, a part of project titled strengthening access to quality comprehensive health education.
The MoBSE sensitization campaign started last week in Banjul and continued to the Kanifing Municipality. Participants comprised of community based committees like Ward Councillors, Religious leaders, Youth and Women Groups across KMC.
They also engaged on key findings of the Comprehensive Health Education Research Findings.
Dr. Mat Lowe, a social scientist and a member of the research team revealed that the project package include intervention, Community Engagements, Trainings, Guidance and Counseling while offices will be initiated and strengthened to offer youth friendly services and to also serve as support base centres for victims of sexual and Gender-Base violence.
