The National Youth President of Gambia Democratic Congress has lambasted President Barrow and his government over what he called insecurity and high cost of living in the country.
Momodou MC Cham was on Monday speaking to The Voice exclusively, saying Gambians started to experience more suffocation when President Barrow came to power in 2017.
He cited that insecurity and high cost of living is growing, while corruption is as well increasing within the government.
“At least we know that corruption is rampant now than ever before, people are more insecure and cost of living is higher. We are more indebted now than ever before, electricity and water is scarce more than ever before. The leadership and coming of Barrow’s presidency have divided Gambians than ever before,” he said.
Gambians are more hopeless and fear of their lives in the mercy of criminals and thieves than ever before.
According to him, President Barrow should revisit his statements and not to allow himself to be fooled by selfish ministers who keep misleading him. Ministers who make him believe the opposite of issues because his government’s development performance surpassed [that of] Jammeh and Jawara’s regimes.
