Registrations are now open for the 2021 edition of the Worldwide Music Expo (WOMEX) in Porto, Portugal, from 27 to 31 October.
The day trade fair and conference will take place at the riverside Alfandega do Porto, and in the evenings the venues will include Casa da Musica, Teatro Rivoli, Porto Coliseum, Tenda Praca de D. João, Teatro Nacional de São João, Teatro Sá da Bandeira, Hard Club and Cinema Passos Manuel.
“Last year challenged us all in unimaginable ways but also propelled us to innovate, be creative and problem solve for issues we never thought we would encounter,” the organisers said.
“Looking forward to October 2021, we are excited to be planning an on-site event. We recognise that there will still be challenges in our industry this October, and we are pursuing inclusive initiatives to reach and interact with our community across the world.”
Registrations are available as a five-day package and provide access to the complete WOMEX programme, including: trade fair, Conferences, Showcase Festival, Film screenings, Opening and awards ceremony.
The trade fair features exhibitors from a broad cross-section of countries and music sectors. Hosting a stand gives one a platform to present their business, music or artists directly to key members of the international music community – a stand is the best way to get maximum visibility in the trade fair.
Officially selected WOMEX conference speakers and WOMEX showcase artists will receive free registration.
When two people from the same company register at the full price, every person who registers as part of that same company after that gets a discounted rate. The deadline for Smart Rate is 18 June.
