Social Security and Housing Financial Corporation has given out an aid support totaling D3 million (Three million dalasi) to health sector and learning institutions in 2021 as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Among the corporate’s beneficiaries included Ndemban Clinic, which is being supported with D1.7 million in fighting against the deadly coronavirus that has nearly paralyse businesses and education sector of the country.
Meanwhile, SSHFC had as well supported Brikama Health Centre who as well received a tune of D2 million as part of its move to funding the major referral hospital in West Coast Region, and entrench works of the clinical areas.
“It is within our corporate social responsibility policy to sponsor or adopt a ward in all the major hospitals across the country and Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation has over the years supported the health sector by donating various equipment to these hospitals,” Fabuka Njaay, Social Security and Housing Financial Corporation’s Director of Corporate Affairs said in a statement shared with The Voice Newspaper.
Mr Njaay reassured that his institution “would continue to strengthen the partnership with health sector as this has huge impact on the wellbeing of our members and the nation.”
He expressed delight about his institution’s commitment in given back to The Gambian society, adding they hope to continue with the same trend
