Gambian based US urges more to emulate Q-Group CEO in supporting humanity

A Gambian US-based, Mr Ousman Ndow has called on able Gambians to emulate the CEO of Q-Group Mr Muhammad Jah in the crusade of providing food aids support to the needy Gambian particularly.

He recently made this call during the just concluded holy month of Ramadan as food packages were presented to the community of Kerr Sering and Bijilo at the last Sunday of the Holy Month.

Mr Ndow stated that Mr Jah worthy of commendation for his benevolent gesture in supporting humanity particularly most vulnerable people in the society.

The donated food packages was provided by friend of West Africa The Gambia (FOWAG)  through Mr. Ousman Ndow who is currently back to the Gambia to ensure that the project  provide the much needed support to the most vulnerable people in the society.  The presentation of over 80 bags of 25Kg Rice was held at Bijilo Lower Basic School and was attended by various imams and elders as well as widows and needy Muslims.

According to Mr. Ndow noted that FOWAG has been supporting the needy Muslims in the Gambia over the years. Andthis initiative started  way back in 2009 whereby FOWAG  decided to  give back to the Gambian needy community , and also trying to  mentor kids  through school and helping  them  to have access to the University in the United States.

In the year  2014, he disclosed, the late Momodou Jallow recommended  that the FOWAG  should change its paradigm shift  by spending 50%  of the financial allocation to food Aids Package  and distribute its to the needy  Muslims every last Sunday of the holy month of Ramadan.

Mr. Ndow therefore applauded the idea and said over the years this two communities have been receiving numerous support from this initiative.

He stated further that during the annual distribution of the food package, beneficiaries were selected by imams. He said every beneficiary of a bag of rice was also giving an envelope contain cash of money, which meant to support the needy to help their families at home.

He however dilated on FOWAG activities and the objectives of this project which is to put smiles on the faces of Gambian.

In addition, he used the opportunity to urge able Gambian to emulate Mr. Jah initiative which will go a long way to addressing some of the major challenges faced by most of the madrassa children in this country. Saying that, if Gambia has five more people like Mr. Muhammad Jah this country would be safe from poverty.

Various imams who spoke at the presentation commended the donors FOWAG through Mr. Ousman Ndow for the heart that the organization has this country and his community.
