The National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has declared opening for participation a Merck Foundation Song and Film Awards 2021 competition for every interested Gambian Singers, Filmmakers, and Dramatists to participate.
The contest is organized by the Merck Foundation under the aegis of Office of The First Lady, Her Excellency Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow with theme: More Than A Mother.
Purpose of this competition is to help Singers, Filmmakers, Dramatists, to create works that will rise awareness of people about girls empowerment, infertility, breaking infertility and breaking the barriers of infertility stigma in our societies.
According to Office of Director General of the National Centre for Arts and Culture, all artists are eligible to participate in the competition.
More so, all participants are advised to submit their songs and films on the theme before 30th August, 2021 through email to: submit@merck-foundation.com and momodouawa@gmail.com.
Awaiting handsome prizes for the winners include cash prizes of US$500, $700 and $1000.
Meanwhile, the Office of National Centre for Arts and Culture urged all Gambian artists to take this wonderful challenge and opportunity accorded artists by Office of The First Lady as regarding the theme of the competition to participate.
However, NCAC is ready and willing to offer further advice on this matter to enable Gambian musicians submit formidable entries and win the prizes!
