An alleged rapist, Hamidou Fisirou Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court for raping an 8-year-old girl, an offence he pleaded not guilty of.
Hamidou Fisirou, according to the narration of his offence, on or about 9th day of June 2021 in Kanifing Municipality unlawfully have canal knowledge of an 8-year-old girl without her consent, thereby committed an offence.
This offence, rape, is contrary to section 3 sub section (2)(d) of the sexual offence act 2013.
Taking his plea at the Kanifing Magistrate on Tuesday, the alleged rapist, Hamidou Fisirou, before the Magistrate pleaded not guilty of the offence and the case has been transferred to the High Court. Sergeant Baba Jallow represented the IGP.
