“Over the past 100 years, the CPC has united the Chinese people and achieved remarkable progress by adhering to its original aspiration: seeking happiness for people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation,” Ambassador Jianchun stated.
Since the Opium War in 1840, he said, “China had been suffering from the burden of three major forces: imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism. The Chinese people tried every means to gain national independence and development, but failed time and time again.”
“In 1921,” he continued “the CPC was born and undertook the historic responsibility of liberating and developing China. The first generation of leadership of the CPC, represented by Chairman Man Zedong, led the Chinese people overthrowing imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism and successfully founded the People’s Republic of China after 28 years of endeavor, winning national independence and people’s liberation. Since then, the Chinese people have proudly stood up and the Chinese nation has regained its dignity and respect in the world.”
The Ambassador went on that after the founding of the People’s Republic of China; the CPC was faced up with an enormous challenge of turning the under-developed China into a modern country. The CPC led the people overcoming all difficulties in the process of socialist construction.
He added that after nearly 30 years of hard work, a large number of infrastructure facilities were established and the foundation for a modern country was successfully laid.
On the second generation of leadership of CPC, he said “In 1978, the second generation of leadership of the CPC, mainly represented by Deng Xiaoping, made the historic decision of implementing reform and open policy, which greatly liberated and developed social productivity.
And “within just a few decades, China has completed the industrialization process which some Western countries have taken hundreds of years to complete.” Noted that, China now has the most complete modern industrial system in the world, as, China’s GDP ranks second in the world from 2010 and in the year of 1952, China’s GDP was 67.9 billion RMB.
However, in the year of 2018, China GDP already reached 90.03 trillion RMB, up by 174 times in real terms. “Per capita GDP soared by 70 fold, from 119RMB to 64,600 RMB, it is surely a miracle for a country’s economic development while it was praised as ‘the greatest economic revolution in the history of mankind,’”
His Excellency Jianchun explained further that under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping, since 2012, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is facing and unprecedented bright future, China has succeeded in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, eradicated absolute poverty and leaped to the forefront of the world in high technology fields such as high-temperature superconductivity, nanomaterials, life science, manned space flight, lunar exploration, quantum science, deep-sea exploration, super computers, Beidou global navigation, large aircraft manufacturing, high-speed rail, 5G communication and many others.
