The Gambia Revenue Authority Wednesday bade farewell to four of its senior staff who had retired after many years of professional service.
The farewell ceremony held at the Authority’s conference hall in Banjul was attended by large number of the GRA.
Musa Touray Customs Cadet Guard, Modou KF Ceesay Assistant Senior Driver, Fansu Dibba Senior Guard and Yahya MK Joof Deputy Driver respectively were awarded certificates of appreciation, token amount of money plus other gifts in recognition of their services to not only the GRA but to the entire nation.
Speaking at the ceremony, the GRA Commissioner General Yankuba Darboe expressed appreciation for working with the retirees over years without any problem.
He described them as hard working, and dedicated staffs that were very focus in their call of duties during their service.
“We will surely miss you guys at GRA, you are retired in active services but you are still part of GRA family, your retirement is not the end of our relationship. GRA is always open for you anytime you need anything contact us because GRA is your home,” GRA CG told retirees.
He described the day as a great one, saying every worker is praying to witness such a day because people die before their retirement period, while he again thanked the outgoing staffs for all they have done for not only the authority but to the entire nation.
Speaking on behalf of the retirees, Fansu Dibba returned gratitude to management of GRA, for honoring their retirement by giving those certificates and other gifts in recognition of their services.
He said it was pleasure working with GRA, because during their tenure in office staff where very supportive, collaborative and cooperative with good relationship. He promised to continue the cordial relationship that exists between them.
