President Adama Barrow received the Sierra Leonean Minister of Lands, Housing and Country Planning Dr Turad Senesie at the State House in Banjul. His Gambian counterpart, Honourable Musa Drammeh and the CEO of TAF Africa Global, Mr Mustapha Njie accompanied him. The team was at the Statehouse to brief President Barrow on TAF Africa Global’s plans to establish housing estates in Sierra Leone and other countries in the subregion.
President Barrow initiated the introduced Mr Mustapha Njie to H.E. Dr Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone during a visit to Banjul in 2019. Mr Njie said their expansion to Sierra Leone is part of his firm’s plans to build a million homes as part of its Smart Cities project in Sub Saharan Africa. He said President Adama Barrow will launch the programme in The Gambia in October. Also speaking to the media following a tete-a-tete with President Barrow, Dr Senesie said his visit is on the invitation of TAF Africa Global to see its projects and learn from his Gambian counterpart and Ministry.
Honorable Drammeh said President Barrow advised the visiting guests to make the best use of TAF Africa Global’s expertise in the real estate and housing development sector.
