4H Gambia validates strategic plan

4H Gambia, a local NGO recently organised a daylong National Gathering with members to discuss on 2020 activities and audited reports on progress and challenges during an event held in Farafenni, North Bank Region.

The theme for national gathering was centered on Networking and Partnership on the motto: Learning By Doing and convergence provided opportunity for members to validate first draft of a 4 years strategic plan 2021 to 2025.

Alieu Ceesay, National Director of 4H Gambia underscored the importance the agency attached to working with communities and partners to enhance good governance and accountability.

He said the national gathering was part of the organisation annual plan of activities, to present activities and audited statements to enable members have broader understanding of the organization and take ownership.

He added that this year gathering was unique as members participated to validate first draft of a four years strategic plan of the organization.

Musa Samura, Board chairman of 4H Gambia lauded the support of the management on their tireless efforts in resource mobilisation to respond to the development needs of 4H youths club and Communities.

Citing the EU Global Climate Change Alliance GCCA + Climate Resilient Coastal & Marine Zone project on the restoration of Dobo Forest Park and fencing, borehole and planting of 30, 000 trees, as example.

He as well reiterated their commitment to guide the organisation to ensure its compliance with NGO code of conduct.

OusmanSonko, Manager Prescription Consultancy Firm who is also a board member noted that the developed four years strategic plan would help pave way on new strategic direction, while saying the participation of 4H Gambia youths clubs and board members on the validation of strategic plan would contribute to the keeping track on the strategic direction for next four years.
