The much awaited public debate on the Coalition 2016 that brought President Adama Barrow to power will take place tomorrow Wednesday, 4th August, 2021 between Dr Ismaila Ceesay, Political Science Lecturer and Presidential Candidate for the Citizens Alliance (CA) party and Honorable Halifa Sallah, Leader and Secretary General of People’s Democratic Organisation for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) party.
Honorable Sallah, confirmed Monday while expressing his concern about The Voice newspaper Monday headline reading “Coalition 2016: Dr. Ceesay Invites Halifa Sallah to a Debate”, but revealed that the debate will be hosted by Harona Drammeh Chief Executive Officer Paradise-TV and Radio.
He told the paper The Voice Editor that he didn’t received any invitation from Dr. Ceesay, but quick to admit that the CA presidential candidate challenges all members to a debate on the Coalition 2016.
The debate will be the first ever public discussion of Coalition 2016 that ended 22 years of ex-President Yahya AJJ Jammeh rule and if the moderator asks the right questions, Gambians will understand what went right or wrong among the coalition and among other issues.
