Ya Kumba Jaiteh, a nominated member of the National Assembly and United Democratic Party has said her party government will ensure corruption is totally eradicated in the country.
Ms Jaiteh was speaking at the launching of UDP 5-point Agenda and Manifesto held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Centre over the weekend that “our promise is, we are going to address corruption in this country if voted into office come December 4, 2021,” she said.
“The United Democratic party in delivering promises, we are going to address corruption in this country, ways to do that is to invest in our youths and women this is the plan and we are going to achieve this because we have the capacity and the integrity in the UDP and because of this integrity we are going to create bankable projects and these projects will be sponsored,” she added.
She went further that “if you accuse someone of corruption you have to bring out the evidence and there is no evidence in existence of this gentleman been corrupt and I think that’s the foundation of everything.”
She said the United Democratic Party has the opportunity to present to the general public its 5-point agenda manifesto and that they are doing this truthfully with no fake promises
”We are not going to say 100,000 jobs and we are not going to say 200,000 jobs we are not going to promise you a creation of sovereign wealth fund, what we are going to do is going to the base on truth, policy law and strategic we are going to do this in honesty and we guaranteed you that it will be done in transparency and accountability.
“This country needs a system change and UDP is going to build this system change, we are ready and committed. I will start thanking His Excellency President in waiting Ousainou Darboe and to the last man in Koina watching and listening to the United Democratic Party and to those who supported this process and those who lost their lives in the journey we always remember them and we are going to pray for them,” she concluded.
