The leader of Alliance for National Reorientation and Development has said that the former lead counsel at the TRRC, Essa Faal, who is currently seeking for the highest job in the country as he is one of the candidates contesting in upcoming 4th December presidential election, has betrayed Gambians and dashed their hopes and aspirations.
The Ex-General who was speaking to The Voice exclusively said: “Essa Mbaye Faal has betrayed the Gambia people by going into politics when his work is not yet submitted.”
“Essa is a joke he has betrayed the Gambia people, if you look back to my interviews, I have tried to enlighten the understanding of Gambians regarding the TRRC. Because the TRRC was if we knew that this is the way the TRRC is going to operate we are not going to allow them because it was setup only to witch hunt and trying to caricature and tarnish the image of Yaya Jammeh and his government. That was the basis of their operations,” he added.
He explained that Essa Faal should be charged for involving in politics taking into consideration the wastage he has done to the country, and since the beginning of this TRRC people have seen the way he was comporting himself, “it is contrary to the request or the demand and expectation of many Gambians. Some of us thought we are going through a transition that required reconciliation.”
He went on saying that Essa Faal has insulted elderly people by making them ashamed during the process of TRRC sitting by be little many people even insulted certain religion “such person cannot come to demand for Gambians to trust him with responsibilities of this country. He is joking, Gambians are not sleeping they will teach him a lesson.”
However, General Bojang declared that he has never accepted the TRRC because it only divides The Gambia people instead of bringing them together.
