Mustapha Barrow, who is charged with stealing 2,800 bags of lime fertilizer, has been granted a bail bond of D4 million with two Gambian sureties.
Mr Barrow, who appeared before Principal Magistrate Isatou Janneh Njie of the Kanifing Magistrate Court on Thursday was also told by the court to deposit his compound documents and Gambian ID Cards to the court and swear to affidavit of means.
According to the narration, Mustapha Barrow sometimes in the month of June, 2021 at Denton Bridge and devise places of the Kanifing Municipality in The Gambia stole 2,800 bags of lime fertilizer valued at D3,848,952.00 (three million, eight hundred and forty-eight thousand, nine hundred and fifty-two dalasis) being the property of Unique Imdustry.
However, the presiding Magistrate has adjourned the case to 27th September 2021 at 12:30 pm for hearing.
