Kemeseng Sanneh known as Kexx, Tuesday, 21st September, appeared before the Kanifing Magistrate Court presiding over by Magistrate Mam Samba Jallow for giving false information to public, offence he pleaded not guilty.
However, the accused was granted a bail in sum of D50,000.00 after taken his plea of not guilty. Kexx was charged with a single count of offence, which is giving false information to public servant contrary to section 114 (a) of the criminal code cap 10;01 Vol iii laws of the Gambia.
In narration, Kemeseng Sanneh on 24th March 2021 at Latrikunda German in Kanifing Municipality gave false information to the public servant that he was kidnapped by 3 boys and forcefully taken him into their vehicle and placed a towel on his nose made him inhaled substance which made him unconscious. This information was false and he knew it to be false at the time, thereby (he) committed an offence.
Inspector Jammeh represented the IGP while the matter adjourned to 30th September 2021.
