Gambia Experience, the leading tour operating company in The Gambia has announced the suspension of all flights to the Gambia effective Monday till 22th of October, 2021.
The announcement made by the leading tour operating company came at a time when the country is anticipating the reopening of the tourists’ season that is expected to rebound after the closing down of the industry in 2019, due to the advent of the coronavirus pandemic that paralysed tourism industries globally.
“Our flights The Gambia are now suspended till 22nd October, 2021. We are in the process of contacting anyone due to travel before this date in departure date order to offer a wide range of options, including amendments to a future date or cancellation with a refund,” Gambia Experience announced.
It continued: “Please note that we still intend to operate to The Gambia even if the category does not change to green at a later date, subject to review of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice for leisure travel to The Gambia. Please ensure you comply with the exit and entry requirements for both the UK and The Gambia.”
Gambia Experience continued to inform its value customers that holidays can be cancelled based on the following conditions: If government advice changes and it becomes illegal to travel abroad for holidays; If the FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) advises against non-essential travel to your destination; If you are required to quarantine on arrival at your destination and there isn’t the option to forgo this quarantine period by providing evidence of a negative Covid-19 test, or that you are fully vaccinated.
Adding that, if the destination you are travelling to is on the red list, which requires you to quarantine in a hotel on your return to the UK.
“We would like to reassure you that if your holiday is cancelled for one of the reasons shown above, you will be offered to change your holiday to another destination (where possible) or date with no amendment fee (difference in price applies) or receive a full refund. In this event, one of our agents will be in touch to advise you of your options,” Gambia Experience announced.
