“The young people need to understand what politics is all about, politics is not meant for dividing us and it is not about saying a word that will insinuate, insult or cause problem in our society, politics is a way to bring us together and bring the pragmatic ideas that are productive with the help of the youth to develop a nation.
“There is need for The Gambia to catch up with the world and the role of the young people is very important as 60% of the country`s total population comprise of the youth and we are the backbone of the society,” he said.
He added: “We should think about politicians with open minded view, we should analyze their programs and integrities to balance and fact check their promises so that we can keep them accountable and avoid our political support base on tribe or nepotism.”
According to him, the kind of politics we need should base on the integrity of the person vying for political positions like what they brought or what can they bring for us as a program that can develop the nation.
