The winter tourist season 2021/2022 will officially commence Friday, 22nd October, 2021 with a regular Gambia Experience flight which will fly direct from the United Kingdom to Banjul International Airport (BIA).
Gambia Experience flight will be followed by TAP Portugal on Sunday, 31st October, while Air France joining the route for the first time is expected to land with some tourists at the BIA on Monday, 1st November at 16:55 hours.
TUI (UK) direct flight from Gatwick and Manchester will be received in the country 2nd and 3rd November at 20:00 hours each day respectively.
More so, 3rd November at 21:30 hours Correndon Airline from Holland will as well land at BIA while again TUI Holland and TUI Belgium flights will commence on 1st and 23rd December respectively.
However, Rainbow International flight will also commence in the month of December too, but date will be announced later.
As preparation in high gear for the resume of the season, Adama Njie, Director of Marketing GTBoard on behalf of the board and Ministry of Tourism and Culture called for collective efforts of stakeholders and individuals to make it fruitful.
Thus, the season will officially kick off on 22nd October after a long break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the DoM stated that further update on arrival times and other flights will be announced as the season progress.
