After a year break of physical congregation due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, the organizer of the African Travel Market known as Akwaaba has announced date for the 17th Edition of the African biggest travel expos taking place in Nigeria, West Africa starting from 29th to 30th November, 2021.
Akwaaba African Travel Market event is one of the top 5 tourism and travel events in Africa that attracts some hundreds of tourism stakeholders which include investors, professionals, tour operators, practitioners to meet and discuss tourism, aviation, hospitality, resorts among others business opportunities.
Meanwhile, Akwaaba African Travel Market, the leading Pan-African Tourism Expo is the first travel and tourism fair in West Africa that has attracted leading experts and stakeholders in the travel, tourism, aviation and hospitality industries from different parts of Africa and the world. Several important dignitaries such as Presidents, Ministers, Ambassadors and High Commissioners from different parts of the world have graced the annual event. This year edition will as well be graced by some VIPs hence it is the first after the 16th edition which was held virtual because of the Covid-19 in 2020.
According to Ambassador Ikechi Uko, a seasoned travel and tourism expert who is also the organizer of the Akwaaba African Travel Market encouraged stakeholders not to miss this edition as it is “the first Akwaaba since September 2019.”
Activities for this year’s edition, he disclosed, include exhibitions, MICE training – understanding MICE, implementing a MICE project plan for a destination, how to source MICE business; conferences; Naija 7 wonders; Top 100 hotels awards and hospitality.
Akwaaba African Travel Market, for over the years has become a hub for travel and tour expos that hundreds of tourism practitioners, delegates from different destinations meet.
