One of the disqualified presidential candidates at the recently concluded nomination for the December 4 presidential election, Bankole Yao Jojo Ahadzie, has called on Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to show transparency in their counting, as failure to do so might cause a problem in the country.

“I made a very immature mistake that I did not have copies of my nomination papers so if I talk and IEC talk people will believe IEC even though they see that IEC made mistake. I think that at this moment IEC should show the public how they run their process,”

“When I went to submit (my nomination) none of them count it in my present but they wait until I left and they said I don’t have that when they were counting, who was there? I think on my side, that is what I want for it to be changed,” Banky explained.

According to him, he said he has learned from this election next time he will make copies that can be used as a backup. Adding that there should be an independent third-party present in the nomination counting ground in the future in other to avoid such.

“People are calling me to join them but I told them that, to be frank, you guys know that cannabis is what makes me famous if any of you don’t want to say the same thing that I am saying then I cannot join you and influence my fans that will be too cheap,”

Banky went on that, “I don’t think people will hear me endorsing any party or any area because they all think that cannabis is something that no one can touch in this country and I went to the extent of convincing people, as it not going to be public smoking, it has to contribute to the economic affairs of the State.

Mr. Banky added that he was called by all the political parties to join them but he disclosed that he told them the same thing that if anyone likes him or hates him because of cannabis legalization, and you cannot speak to that then he is not going to form a coalition.
