Speaking at Niani Bakadaji, he said: “the UDP government is committed to uplift all sector of education in the country being it English or the Arabic schools. Those learning Arabic are also looking for knowledge from the ‘Madrasas’ with the hope the parents have in them to teach their children with moral and give them knowledge.”
“My government will not only concentrate on the English schools but the other schools will also be part of our agenda,” adding that “he have seen some departments with two Permanent Sectary and other departments with many Directors is it because our minister for Education cannot provide a Permanent Sectary, a Director in the Ministry who will be looking after the affairs of the ‘Madrasa`s’ in the country,” he queried.
“If you look at CRR, from Balanghar down to Sami Pachonki you will not find any main referral hospital, our major health centers are in Kaur, Karantaba this are not even good health centers, he said. It is part of our plan to upgrade Kuntaur Health center, Kaur health center, and Karantaba health center to make a major health center so that health care will be easier in this part of the Gambia without crossing the river looking for healthcare center,” he said to his listeners.
