Magistrate Mam Samba of Kanifing Magistrate Court yesterday granted a bail bond worth D50, 000 to Muhammed Okoro and asked him to bring two Gambian sureties to deposit their cards to the court registrar.
Mr Okoro is charged with two counts of offence which include assault and wilful damage to property, he has however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to particulars of his offence, Muhammed Okoro on the 17th November 2021, at Manjai kunda in the Kanifing Municipality forcefully and unlawfully assaulted Katin Sarr, a police officer in due execution of his duties by hitting him on his hand.
Meanwhile, the court’s particulars said on the same day at Manjai Kunda in the Kanifing Municipality he wilfully and unlawfully tore a traffic jacket belonging to Katin Sarr.
Meanwhile, the case is been adjourned to 29th November, at 10:30 for continuation, 1st class L Gibba represented IGP.
