Kandeh tells Gambians to vote Barrow out to end economic hardship

By Adama Makasuba

Honorable Mamma Kandeh, leader of Gambia Democratic Congress has urged Gambians to vote out President Adama Barrow to end economic hardship in the country.

Speaking to electorates at a rally held, Honorable Kandeh warned the country against re-electing Barrow, saying that food prices are skyrocketing.

“The hardship and the high living standard of people should not continue because food prices are skyrocketing every day, and Gambians have never experienced such situation under both Jawara and Jammeh’s leadership,” he said.

“This hardship has to end this year and it should be ended by you people [Gambians], but if fail to end this leadership in this country this year, believe me, you will walk and meet with Gambian putting his hands on his head in regret. Because people are suffering under his leadership. Gambians are not living well and Gambians are no more independent,” he added.

The GDC flag-bearer however accused Barrow of taking ownership of Jammeh’s projects saying “you don’t know how they were earned Jawara and Jammeh have not done that in this county.”

“I heard the president saying he has done what Jawara and Jammeh have not done in this country, yes, I agree with him he has done something that Jawara and Jammeh haven’t done which laying stone around the country with no implementation, none of your predecessors had done such failed fact. Taking ownership of projects which, you don’t know how they were earned Jawara and Jammeh have not done that in this county.

“When Jawara was a president, he was a president for everybody and when Jammeh was a president, he was a president for every Gambian, but when this man [Barrow] the little he gets from donors he gives these people and left these other people,” he claimed.
