Barrow: Opposition don’t know how state is run

President Adama Barrow has launched an attack on the nation’s opposition saying they don’t know how a country is run while he told Gambian electorates to question oppositions on how they are going to implement their promises.

Speaking at a rally held in Sibanor, President Barrow said it “Is very easy for someone to come, stand before you and say: I will do this and that (just) because talk is cheap. But if they come to you, ask them how they will do these developments.”

“Ask them where they will get the funding for the developments, they are telling you because they don’t even know how government gets funds, they don’t even know how the country’s economy operates. In fact, if someone come and promise you that he will bring you development, observe him for his physical looks,” he added.

Meanwhile, he described the forthcoming presidential election very important for the country’s history, adding that, it’s an election for Gambians to decide for their progress or regress.

“This is a very important election and is an election for you to decide for progress and development and regress and underdevelopment. There is a ballot drum which is good at fabricating false statements against people and that ballot drum is the yellow ballot drum,” he said.

“But there is a ballot drum which has brought you rice and oil and sugar, and donated cash to every compound head and I think you should recognize that ballot drum because that’s ballot drum is for The Gambia’s progress and is the ballot drum which will bring Gambians together and that’s President Adama Barrow’s ballot drum,” he added.

He promised to register a massive development for the country after the December election saying by the look of the campaign that he has already won the election. He also said he will run the Gambia independently saying because he (President Barrow) is a democrat.
