Hamat Bah urges Gambians to vote for Barrow to avoid leadership vacuum

Honorable Hamat Bah, Minister of Tourism and Culture has urged Gambians to vote for President Adama Barrow in order to avoid leadership vacuum.

Speaking at a rally in Kombo Gunjur, he described President Adama Barrow as one of the healthiest and strongest presidents in Africa who stood in a meeting for 13 hours, as he blasted United Democratic Party of driving empty vehicles around town.

“Do you want the type of Abdoulie Bouteflika in this country? Abdoulie Bouteflika was the Algerian president who will not be seen in public for five years. He was in bed for always ten years. UDP is driving empty vehicles because Ousainou Darboe is not in that vehicle. But President Adama Barrow stood 13 hours. He is stronger than any other Head of State in Africa,” he claimed.

“Let nobody fooled you. The cronies around that old man want to use him to access the presidency of this country. Gambian youths, women, young and old, let us not allow that to happen give your vote to President Adama Barrow,” he cried loud.

“If Barrow did not use the government cars, then which cars will his security personnel uses, all these Para-military, police officers are having vehicles at their institution and that is the vehicle that they are going to use to secure the president which is a government car. We are in a democracy but let people be honest to themselves, as president Adama Barrow is the only president I have known in Africa who during election abandoned his state vehicle and use his own vehicle to go out for campaign. This man should be commended let all other African Head of State learn from him,” he said.

“President Barrow is the president of The Gambia until January 19, 2022. The state is responsible for his security and the security of his family. All what they talk about is using government vehicles. Let me ask, what vehicles they expect the security to use to secure the president?” he asked.
