Black Thunder Releases Justice & Reconciliation Audio-visual

Black Thunder, Switzerland based Gambian afro-Reggae dancehall artiste has released a audiovisual called ‘Justice & Reconciliation in all the digital platforms.

It’s sang in English, Mandinka and it highlights the names of some of the victims of former President Yahya Jammeh-era

‘Justice and Reconciliation’ is a advocacy song written and sang by Black Thunder dedicated to the victims of former President Yahya Jammeh-era of 22 years dictatorship those who lost their lives, tortured and disappeared.

The song production is inspired by The Gambia Centre for Victims of Human Rights Violations for seeking for justice and Reconciliation and retreite the ‘Never Again’ campaign.

“It is laudable that government and its partners has set up Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission to unearthed the truth of the gross human rights Violations during dictatorship but there is a slow pace of the implementation of the TRRC, which should be a priority for a peaceful coexistence among people,” Black Thunder said.

“We need justice to be done for the culprits and after the nation can reconcile and move ahead. The victims needs urgent justice before Reconciliation for truth be known as Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission recommendations should be implemented,” he added.
