Sheikhna Faal, public relations officer for Gambia Action Party (GAP), has said the party is trying to restructure itself while passing blame on the party leadership.
Speaking in an interview with this reporter, he said: “GAP needs to go back to the drawing board to restructure and rebrand its party manifesto for people to take us seriously. We will work on that in the next few months in order to be fully prepared for the 2026 presidential elections.”
“GAP believes in infrastructural development and we consider the plight of the Gambian people first as they put us in office to rule the country and develop it in the interest of everyone,” he added.
“We were just unlucky to have a bad leadership but now he is gone the party will start the process of making it great I want to applaud every Gambian for the peace, tranquility and maturity showed during and after the election,” he said.
As good citizens, he said, they all have to come together and rescue the country from its current situation, Gambian people have decided and they should respect that fact to concentrate on nation development while politics should be taken away at this critical moment.
“However, all we need is for the government to plan ahead as we are just towards ending of the year but also planning for the successful ruling of next agenda. I thank GDC and the APRC no to alliance for believing in the changes, we all fought but unfortunately we fall of expectations and as far as I’m concern the results were free and fair and I do not believe in any court can say otherwise,” he added.
